Join the VYF
HOW AND WHEN TO JOIN THE VYF:
Anyone under the age of 18 years who can play the fiddle tune ‘Cabbages’ is eligible to join the VYF. A copy of this tune can be downloaded below. (Note that it is a 6-times repetition of a basic theme.)
If you would like to join, contact Cobey Oliemans (250-847-3673) and she will add your name to the waiting list. She will then arrange an audition for you with our Artistic Director (Leslie-Jean MacMillan) in late August or early September prior to our Fall Retreat. New members join the group at the Fall Retreat in September, and our season runs from September to June.
Family members are welcome to join the VYF as back up musicians.
Fees:
Annual fees are $100/family plus a stipend for our Artistic Director of $75 for 1 child, $125 for 2 children, or $150 for families with 3 or more children in the group. Fees are payable to the VYF, and are due at the Fall Retreat.
